It came inside a professional box with Foam Block cut-out packed contents, including the condenser microphone, an adjustable arms stand, a metal shock mount, a pop filter, a foam mic windscreen, a table mounting clamp, and a detailed description. It contains everything needed for installation.
- It took me 10 minutes to install on my workstation. It was really easy to follow the directions in the manual and the diagram on the back of the box. Assemble from the bottom up by clamping on the table.
- Once installed, Microphone kits do not move. In addition to rock-steady positioning, it can only be adjusted by unscrewing the 5 plastic caps that hold and adjust the angles of the joints.
- In addition, I also noticed that the microphone is heavy and rugged. This is not just a lightweight piece of local equipment. Each part is polished, premium, and heavy enough. It is both impressive to use and to look at. Now, my workstation is almost a show-area.
- A Plug-n-Play Microphone Kit is provided once assembled. No configuration was required. The native application on my MacBook Pro as well as my recording software both recognized it as an external microphone, so I was able to record audio directly after plugging it into the USB port. Since I am not good with configuring settings and installing drivers, I was nervous about this part of the process. However, I had no problems with this model in use and am glad I went with it.
- Powerful sound chipset and high resolution sampling rate ensure crystal-clear and crisp audio when it is being recorded. There is no disturbance, distortion, or variance in the recording. As a result of the pop filter and the foam mic windscreen, no hissing or wind noise from the mouth will be recorded during voiceovers or even while singing.

Awesome mic for the budget! At ₹2499 for the full kit, it is a steal. It is a condenser with USB B to A wire (has a ferrite core on the cable). The sound quality is wayy better than others in that price range, coupled with a full kit makes it a steal.The packaging was good and it reached in one piece. Awesome mic all in all, kudos for providing high quality at a cheap-ish price point.So yes it ain’t perfect; some cons- Since it is a USB condenser microphone(not a dynamic one) it is very sensitive and picks picks up a very large spectrum of sound (needs to be used with a compressor, noise gate to make it perfect) and an isolated room really helps it.And would point out that the shock mount is a bit flimsy but it holds up well.My personal opinion is that you should go for it definitely, the whole kit is a steal. You know a microphone is good if the only complaint against it is it’s shock mount 😉

I bought the Maono AU-404 Condenser Microphone Kit as I needed a professional Microphone Kit to record my Youtube and Video blogs that I publish in my aspiration to be a Influencer. I needed high quality recording equipment but also something that would fit in my budget. I researched quite a bit and was also advised by my cousin abroad as they had also used Maono audio products. I’m thrilled that I shortlisted and purchased this model. I have been using this for around a week now and below are my observations about it.● The Maono AU-404 condenser Microphone Kit came in a professional box with Foam Block cut-out packed contents, including the Condenser Mike, the adjustable arms stand, the metal shock mount, pop filter, foam mic windscreen, table mounting clamp, USB-B to USB A cable and a detailed descriptive manual. All the required parts to set up the unit.● Installation took 10 minutes on my workstation. Just followed the instructions in the manual and the diagram on the back of the box and it was really simple. Assemble from the base Clamp on the table upwards and its quite intuitive.● Once installed the Microphone kit does not move. It is rock steady and the positioning can only be changed after un-screwing the 5 plastic screw tops which hold and adjust the angles of all the joints.● Another observation that I had was that the microphone and all the parts are heavy and rugged also. This is not just a light weight local equipment put together. All the parts are polished, premium and sufficiently heavy. This translates into quality parts for a relative layperson like me. Very impressive both to use and to look at. My workstation is almost a show-area now.● The Microphone Kit once assembled is Plug-n-Play. There was no configuring required. The native application on my Mac book pro and my recording software both automatically recognized it as an external microphone and after plugging it into the USB port, I could directly start recording audio on my system.
