Long time use review : this is my second slow juicer, earlier one was from a different brand with lower price. The quality of juice is simply very tasty in all coldpress juicer and this one is also no exception. This one however scores better in terms of ease of assembling and disassembling for cleaning, quiter operation and better build quality. For example, when I tried to extract juice from Jackfruit, the strainer of my former juicer broke and i couldn’t find a replacement. But with this one I could extract juice from Jackfruit with relatice ease without damagibg the thing.

Good quality product, which is giving serious competition to bigger Korean brands, follow the product guidelines n use it at its fullest , though it gets a bit messy, needed a lots of water to clean however it solves the purpose of being serious juicer.

Any product that you buy need time for maintenance and proper care which can be time binding.Runs for 30 minutes. The minimum time it’ll take with dishwash liquide gel cleaning is around 20 minutes. (Proper cleansing) and around 2-3 liters of water.Pros:1.Well build product.2. Lock safty available before one can operate.3. Coustomers support is Nice.4. Parts easily available on Amazon.5. I liked the warranty time period.6. BPA free.7. Long term beneficial coz it reduces the cost of juice per glass and also you get to drink fresh juice with proper hygiene.8. Doesn’t make much noise or noticeable noice.Cons:1. Time consuming. ( Peeling & Cutting of fruit/vegetable + juicing + cleaning) this will ensure good working of your product but also consuming your time.2. Afraid of silicon getting torn.3. One hast to buy toothbrush in every 3 months for cleansing.

I am writing this review after 3 days of using the Hestia juicer. My whole interest in buying the juicer has become questionable after the amount of effort and time involved in removing the peels of so many fruits. With all efforts involved in juice making from citrus, I would say that the hand juicers which we use are much easier to operate. Just cut the fruit into two and make your juice. For carrots, I put almost 250gm of carrots and could get only 100ml of juice. The pulp that comes out can however be used for cooking I felt. There is seemingly a good amount of waste that will be generated by the cold-pressed juicers and sadly none of the videos on youtube gave me this knowledge. They only market by telling that these devices make 25% more juice ..but I felt that’s all crap.Anyways… if someone can peel and give u the fruits then yeah… it is easy to make. Just wait for a min and get your glass of healthy juice. But having this juicer will definitely make you try having juice daily. So in that ways it is a good buy.

Bottomline: It’s a great product which juices very well. I’ve used it for more than two weeks now and here’s my feedback.Items juicedFruits: apple, orange, tangerine, pineapple, pear, pomegranate, watermelon along with its rind(green shell); All came out very well.Vegetables: Carrots, beetroot, cucumber, bottle gourd, spinach, coriander, mint, tomato, turmeric, ginger, lemon, basil, cabbage, red-cabbage; All came out very well.Sprouts: green grams, chickpeas; Both came out very well.OutputThe very first time I juiced, it was a complete cocktail of vegetables and fruits. The output was almost 70%, 1.4 kg or approx. 1.4 litre on an average comes out of 2 kg raw material in a vegetable cocktail done by a fresher. Since then, I’ve seen a range of output, from 70% to 80%. Quality of juice is really amazing. Level of froth generation is minimum. Aeration of the juice is minimum, leading to very low oxidation, and hence a longer shelf life of the product, at least a few hours. The taste is very good. The pulp is quite dry and is mostly fibre, although sometimes I feel that a few drops are going waste in the pulp, which can probably be squeezed using some device. However, when I see the juice output of more than 1 litre, I don’t worry much about those few wasted drops. The juice is actually normal in temperature, it’s not even warm from the operation.CleaningThe parts can be cleaned in under five minutes. The strainer cleaning accessory is the most useful item in the box for cleaning, and it has to be used after every use without fail. The brush is also designed uniquely to clean the crevices of strainer and other parts properly. Cleaning is not messy. However, remember to clean all 5 parts immediately after juicing operation for this 5-minute claim to hold true.Power cordThe power cord is meant for a 16 Amps socket (power point, in lay man terms), therefore, either use a wall socket or get a 16A extension (I’m using the extension where I live these days).DurabilityThe machine chops off everything into little pieces and ultimately into a paste using the nicely designed augur and steel strainer. Although it makes some sound when the hard items are masticated, it feels that the product will last a long time. Fingers crossed here.Method of juicingThe most important aspect of this vertical masticating machine is the process of juicing. The operator needs to alternate between soft and hard items when juicing a cocktail of vegetables, for improving output ratio. This comes with experience, and also after viewing some youtube videos out there. Just type the model number on youtube and search. For more videos, search for vertical slow juicer on youtube. Also, the claim of the machine for being “whole slow juicer” is quite close to real. I’ve put whole raw material of everything that could fit into the chute, and it works. The exceptions are long fibrous substances, such as greens (spinach, coriander, mint), which I definitely cut into small pieces before dropping down the chute. This prevents the fibres from clogging the interiors and I can prolong the extraction time without cleaning the strainer. Also, after having tested the machine with whole raw materials, I actually cut the thick ugly looking carrots and beetroot before dropping down the chute, just to treat the machine with some love and care. Do not forget that it cost a bomb for a juicer by any Indian middle class standard, to spend 20K in a country where the most expensive centrifugal juicer costs under 6 or 7K. So despite the claim of being a “whole juicer”, the really big and hard items I’m chopping up. Also, when you purchase raw material, choose the hardest and freshest of the veggies, not the wilting and withering ones. The harder and fresher the raw material, higher is the efficiency and output of the machine. Store juices only in glass bottles, and never ever in plastic.AccessoriesI purchased the smoothie strainer in addition to the juicing strainer. However, because of almost negligible instruction videos out there, haven’t been able to use it even once. Hestia needs to put out more videos on youtube, and also detailed description and usage instructions for the smoothie strainer. There is some instruction available though, I’ll try it when I find some leisure time I guess.SummaryI’m using this juicer three times daily. Early morning fruit juice – pineapple or watermelon – watermelon gives almost 80% output. Vegetable juice cocktail for my lunch, which I prepare in the morning itself and store in a glass bottle and carry to office – 1.4 kg or approx. 1.4 litre on an average comes out of 2 kg raw material. Evening quick juice using just one or two veggies. Total time taken for juicing 2 kg raw material is less than 15 minutes, then cleaning takes another 5 minutes, preparation time can be around 15 minutes or more depending on the quality of raw material.

I’ve been using the cold press juicer for couple of weeks now. Quality of juice better vs. common mixi. There are 5 parts of the juicer which need to be perfectly aligned so that the juicer works. Once you understand it isn’t difficult to operate. Same way, each part has to be cleaned separately. A little effort but I guess it outweighs the benefits.

We had purchased a Centrifugal juicer around 2 years back, but unfortunately we were never happy with that machine, because almost half of the juice was being wasted along-with the pulp and we always had to use a sieve to manually separate the remaining juice from the pulp. When we decided to buy a new juicer, we knew that Cold Press juicers were more expensive compared to the Centrifugal ones, but from our own experience we knew that Centrifugal juicers are just a waste of money, therefore, we focused only on researching Cold Press juicers. After evaluating all the top brands, their models, prices, warranties and the reviews submitted by the customers, we finally decided to buy the Hestia Cold Press juicer. The juicer was delivered on time and the packing was perfect with all the accessories given as mentioned on the website. We were further delighted when Hestia’s customer service person gave us a live WhatsApp call demo and explained in minute detail the dos and don’ts of how to use the juicer. We have been using it daily for more than 3 months now and we are extremely happy with the quality and quantity of the juice extracted from the various fruits and vegetables. The waste extract is almost dry with not even one drop of juice remaining behind. Assembling & disassembling the juicer is also easy which in turn helps in quick cleaning and drying of the various parts. We were so impressed with this juicer that we ordered one more and gifted it to our parents, who are also using it now on a daily basis. This is a total paisa-wasool product and we recommend it to everyone who are looking to buy a juicer.

I bought the Hestia Nutri-Max CPJ after being burned by the so called patent holder in this field, Hurom. Hurom’s India distributor ( True_Commerce) had sent me a refurbished product with clear markings of shoddy job they had done to put the product together product again. Big Thanks to Amazon, I was able to return the Hurom product with full refund ( although it took some time) The above experience led me to believe that such a complex and expensive product needs direct support from the manufacturer who prioritize the Indian client, and I narrowed down to both Kuvings and Hestia. Kuvings B1700 product ( which was in my budget) seemed to me as a made for 3rd world product with no such product existing in the US, I always encourage folks who buy equipment from overseas vendors to check if they are selling you what they will sell in the US, if not stay away. Kuving’s most premium offering the EVO 820 does not even sell in India as I write this ( Jan 8th 2022), this led me to believe that India is not a priority market to Kuvings and they just want to “dump” their low value product B1700 which they don’t even sell in the western world. Always remember friends – BEST SELLING MAY NOT BE THE BEST FOR YOU- Don’t follow the herd and use your brains !Now, coming to Hestia Nutrimax after using this for 1 week, here is my brief review:Pros+Very easy to assemble compared to Hurom, I did not even need to read the manual ( although I encourage everyone to RTFM)+ The juice output is perfect, I tried watermelon, orange, green juices so far with no problem, the pulp was so dry that it was unbelievable+ Easy to clean, but you need to ensure you clean up immediately+ Indian company which designed the product but used patent holders components from Japan,Korea and US, this is what Indian tech is good at – we may not be the best “fundamental innovators” but we are masters in “systems integration” of products – case in point our defense, our IT industry and pharma industry – This kind of mindset ensures that you are able to make products at lower costs and high acceptable quality, as you compare the features between Hestia and Kuvings this aspect would stand-out to you+ Three strainers are provided, whereas the competition only provides 1 and rest is chargeable, this means the total cost of ownership is higher in competition+Lower cost of spares, this is alluded to also in the Q&A but I am yet to find the spares table which they are talking about+ Good warranty on the motor, electronics and the plastic parts ( against manufacturing defects) – I felt that in this regard with what the competition was offering, I would be screwed if anything other than motor went kaput+ Plastic used seem very sturdy and well put together on par with Hurom HP, although the design was slightly more aesthetic with Hurom ( I can live with that)Now, coming to the Cons- They need to invest more on the “packaging” aspects of the product, example – the manuals, recipe books which come with the product are very anemic and not worthy of the kind of amount which has been paid for the product, the company needs to understand that the consumers of a 17000 rs juicer are those who are used to products from Apple, Samsung etc, who “premiumize” the consumer experience – they need to invest in better paper of the recipe book ( and more recipes for Ram’s sake !) – remember this will be on kitchen slabs of consumer and the paper is so thin it will disappear and discolor in no time- Please pay more attention to these minute details if you want to displace kuvings b1700 from the throne-Improve your website and add more recipes which are a add-on to the basic booklet you provide, what good is a juicer if you don’t increase the scope for your consumers to make best use of it-Improve your Warranty registration process, its stuck in the 90s, “take a picture and email /whatsapp” – it should have been a simple web-form with a auto-notification that the warranty is in place. Again customer experience detail is lacking, customer support needs to come out of the “lala company” mindset and embrace 21st century technologies- There is a lot of good information in the Q&A section of the Amazon product page which Hestia themselves have provided answers, why is this information not on the website? I had to literally go through 200 odd questions to satisfy myself that this is an Indian product which stands-out and can compete with the best in the world
