The chimney is good looking stylish and and easy to use. Just keep in mind that a 6” hole would have to be made for a jumbo pipe to fit in….. And the installation charge would be at least Rs.2000

I purchased this chimney for ₹10,350 during ICICI offer of 10%off market price of this chimney was around 13,500 across all shops. Coming to the chimney, it’s great in performance and functionality. It’s easy to use for elders as well. the only thing i didn’t like was Installation charges. I got it installed from local electrician for just ₹300. Installation guy from elica would force you to buy aluminum pipe by telling you the plastic pipe may melt or so but it won’t. Plastic pipe is designed to withstand exhaust that much heat from cooktop so don’t fall into their trap.

Buying a Chimney is a tedious job as you will find same chimney online and on shops with prices difference of over 1500 rs and that is where the process of fooling the customer starts. Some shop keepers will tell you that the product is no longer in production that is why cheaper online, some will say online you will not get warranty and some will say online products are faulty etc.Don’t go by what say, look for a branded Chimney online and go for it. Now comes the next struggle, installation.Installation mafia: I chose to name it Mafia, because the moment you purchase the product you will be flooded with calls of people who will say they are calling from the company and they will install the chimney. Everyone of them will tell you a new price, someone will say 600 for pipe and someone will say 1000 for pipe 200 for cap 500 for installation etc.Go to Elica website and give rates as mentioned on website.Product is good, you need to stay away from middle men.
